Why the Hatred?

Why the Hatred against Israel?

  1. Theologically

a.  Nations will rise-up militarily against Israel in the latter years (Ezekiel 38, 39) – principally the nations that surround Israel geographically will be involved.

b.  Eventually, all nations will turn against Israel. Even if the United States remains neutral when Israel is attacked, it is as though, in their neutrality, they become enemies of Israel.  Jesus taught this Middle East principle in this manner, “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters” (Zechariah 14:2; Matthew 12:30).

c.  Part of the reason for God’s judgment upon the nations is that they have “divided up my land” – the land of Israel (Joel 3:2). Who owns the land?  Radical Muslims say the Land of Israel belongs to them – the Scripture states, it belongs to the Jew (Genesis 15:18; Joshua 1:4).

d.  The Abrahamic Covenant in which God states regarding his people, through the promised seed of Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” (Genesis 12:1-3).

e.  The world hates the Jew, because the world hates the God of Israel. The God of Israel manifested in the flesh is Yeshua – Jesus! Therefore, many have tried to thwart God’s plan for redemption by endeavoring to wipe out the messianic seed of Abraham, and the future purpose of the nation Israel.

  1. Practically

a.  Reasonable thinking people understand there are two forces in the world – Good and Evil. Biblically, we understand the warfare is between God and Satan (Gen. 3:15).

b.  If Satan could eradicate the Jew from the face of the earth, then he could glory in the fact that he derailed God’s redemptive plan (Isa. 14).

c.  If there were no Jews in the world, then God would be a liar. Why?

d.  The Bible is a Jewish book, about Jewish prophets, priests and kings; about a Jewish Messiah who died and rose again for the sins of mankind; and about a Jewish kingdom that is to come with the Jewish Messiah-King- Lamb-Lion of Judah at the head ruling the earth for a thousand-years; finally, after the thousand-years, this Messiah will be the “Light” and “Glory” becoming the center of all worship, and attention in a New Heaven and New Earth for all eternity.

e.  If there were no Jews on the earth, who would believe in the God of an extinct people, and their Book who declares that the “offspring of Israel” will exist as long as the universe exists (Jer. 31:36-37).

f.  If there were no Jews on earth, their “Book” is false; their “God” is a liar (and He is NOT a liar); and redemption and hope through the shed blood of “Messiah Jesus” is meaningless. Satan (evil), therefore, would become victorious. – Thus, we can begin to understand why the continued vicious assault on the Jew.

g.  Anti-Semitism has taken on different forms throughout the Millennia.

h.  Historian Robert Wistrich calls anti-Semitism, “the longest hatred.” Even today within the United Nations, there is an ongoing attempt to vote on erasing Jewish ties to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount fueled by the Palestinian Authority.

i.  Today, “Anti-Zionism” is the rally for those who would rid the world of the Jew.

In conclusion, Jesus was Jewish, the Bible is a Jewish book about a Jewish Messiah, and a future global Jewish Kingdom – Christianity was birthed within of the promises of Jewish prophets, and came to fruition through the womb of a Jewish virgin.

Christianity is Jewish! The world is bothered by this truth – and desires to eradicate the Jewish roots from Christianity, and the Jew completely from the world.

In a day where support for Israel is waning within the United States, your support is needed, and valued now more than ever.

Thank you for standing against the tide of hatred against the Jew, and doing what is right by supporting Israel – May God bless you for your faithful prayers and financial support as we feed children and Holocaust survivors within Israel!

Shalom and Blessings,

Dr. Jeff
